Abstract
Optimum collector area and storage size for domestic solar water heating systems were determined with a computer-aided simulation scheme. Simulations were conducted for one week in each season; annual solar fraction was determined as the average of seasonal fractions. Storage and collector size results which satisfied a solar fraction of 70% for a 175 l/d load at 60 degree C were depicted graphically. Optimum collector and storage sizes were calculated to be 7.8 m super(2). and 385 l, respectively.
