Abstract
Recently, Zhu and Lu, [On the general sum-connectivity index of tricyclic graphs, J. Appl. Math. Comput. 51(1) (2016) 177-188] determined the graphs having maximum general sum-connectivity index among all n-vertex tricyclic graphs. In this short note, an alternative but considerable short approach is proposed for determining the afore-mentioned graphs.
