Abstract
Ethylene glycol is found in both plasma and non-plasma state and exhibits shear thinning/shear thickening behavior. This article treats ethylene glycol as shear thinning/shear thickening plasma and its rheology is described by hyperbolic tangent stress-strain correlations. The magnetohydrodynamic equations and models of effective thermal properties are forecasted a set of highly complex mathematical equations which are solved by finite element method (FEM). Plasma nature of ethylene glycol has a significant role in the reduction of dissipative effects in both nano-ethylene glycol and hybrid nano-ethylene glycol. However, this reduction in the dissipative phenomenon in hybrid nano-ethylene glycol is higher than in nano-ethylene glycol. Further, the temperature of plasma ethylene glycol is greater than the temperature of ethylene glycol. Thermal performance of hybrid nano-ethylene glycol is greater than the thermal performance of nano-ethylene glycol (a mixture of ethylene glycol and MoS2) and pure ethylene glycol (containing no nanoparticles). The wall momentum diffuses more quickly in shear thinning fluid than in shear thickening fluid. Similarly, heat conducts more quickly from hot surface into shear thinning nanofluid/hybrid nanofluid than in shear thickening nanofluid/hybrid nano fluid. (C) 2020 Published by Elsevier B.V.
