Abstract
We propose a technique for representing string (rope) in three-dimensions based on its energy. The technique of obtaining a stable state of string diagram will be based on the computation of the energy of its equivalent knot diagram. We divide the technique into three steps: simplification of state string diagram, transformation from string state into its equivalent knot diagram, and computation of the minimum energy. We apply Reidemeister movements to simplify the string diagram. For computing the Minimum Energy, we use the Minimum Distance (MD) energy for regular n-polygonal knot. As a model we use the set of crossing model. We implement the technique to generate string figure of cat's cradle.
