Radiation therapy (RT) is an important treatment modality for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has a wide spectrum of applications and indications. Radiotherapy can be used for curative or palliative intent, alone or with other modalities in a different sequence or concurrently. Recently, steriotactic radiosurgery became an alternative curative modality for inoperable patients with stage I and II tumors. In this manuscript, the utilization of RT in the treatment of NSCLC will be reviewed.
