Abstract

Chemistry Chemistry, Inorganic & Nuclear Physical Sciences Science & Technology
From the reaction of AgC (CBu)-Bu-t with 9-hydroxy-9-fluorenecarboxylic acid (HL) and AgCF3CO2, we have isolated a new type of organosilver(I) coordination polymeric chain, namely {[Ag-14(C (CBu)-Bu-t)(8)(L)(2)(CF3CO2)(4)]center dot 2CH(3)OH}(n), which contains centrosymmetric [Ag-14(C (CBu)-Bu-t)(8)(CF3CO2)(2)](4+) cluster segments bridged by pairs of L and trifluoroacetate ligands.
