Abstract

In conventional flat-plate solar collectors, tubes are welded or pressed to a flat-plate. A tubeless flat-plate collector has no tubes welded or pressed to absorber plate. It is merely two-parallel plates made of galvanized steel, and welded to each other. This configuration reduces thermal resistance greatly; a matter which reflects on its efficiency. Those types of collectors proved to be more efficient and economic than conventional flat-plate solar collectors.
