Abstract
Bulk glasses of the Ge
5Se
25Te
70 system were prepared by the conventional melt-quenching technique. Thin films with a thickness of 150
nm of Ge
5Se
25Te
70 were prepared by the thermal evaporation technique on glass substrates. The crystallization mechanism has been studied by using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) technique. The effect of heat treatment on the structure transformation was investigated by X-ray diffraction and the scanning electron microscope. The effect of heat treatment on the optical properties was also investigated.
