Abstract

Chemistry, Medicinal Life Sciences & Biomedicine Pharmacology & Pharmacy Science & Technology
The crude aqueous and alcoholic extracts of the leaves of Ficus lyrata have been investigated for possible analgesic activity and central depressor activity. The crude aqueous and alcoholic extracts at a dose of 200 mg/kg each showed significant analgesic activity by Analgesiometer test. Both extracts in the same doses also showed central depressor activity by open field behaviour test.
