Abstract
Four insect orders including families from Thysanura (Lepismatidae), Coleoptera (Tenebrionidae, Staphylinidae), Hymenoptera (Formicidae) and Embioptera were recovered in or around termite nests together with other groups of Arthropods (Isopoda, Scorpionidae, Chilopoda, and Aranea). The spiders (Aranea) represent a major group of the recovered arthropod fauna which included seven families (Filistatidae, Oceobiidae, Theridiidae, Lycosidae, Clubionidae, Gnaphosidae, and Salticidae). The biology of these Arthropods indicated a continuum of relationships with termites from mere presence to symphiles or "true guests".
