In this article, we study the asymptotic behaviour of a thermoelastic system of type III with infinite memory and internal delay. Under suitable assumptions on the weight of the delay term, we prove the well-posedness of the system. Furthermore, for a wide class of relaxation functions, we use the multiplier method and a convexity argument to establish a stability result of the system.
