Abstract

In laboratory tests to investigate the formation of lead compounds in ambient air polluted by vehicle exhaust, lead bromochloride is exposed to various gaseous and particulate pollutants. X-ray Powder diffraction is used to examine the products. Coagulation with ambient aerosol and reaction of pbbrcl with neutral and acid sulfates constitute the major process affecting primary lead particulates.
