Abstract
In the presented study, polyethylene terephthalate was recycled using chemical modification process to obtain efficient corrosion inhibitors and biocides for application in oil fields as additives. The prepared compounds were fully characterized using infrared spectroscopy and proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The prepared compounds were evaluated as corrosion inhibiting additives using 50–400 ppm for protection of carbon steel in aqueous H
