Abstract
The condition of pavements, monitored at regular intervals for cracks inspection, is modeled as a system with random failure time and regular inspection. The paper considers four cases of the inspection-repair time, namely: negligible, deterministic, exponentially distributed and uniformly distributed random variables. Availability expressions are derived for each case.
