Abstract
Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) glove is naturally organic rubber and can easily be covered with the color of the product, it becomes impossible to detect the lost part of glove in packets of food unless these gloves are modified with magnetically detectable materials. The magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles are known for their prominent magnetic properties. Therefore, in the present work co-precipitation method is used to synthesis Magnetite nanoparticles (9-15 nm). Further, nanoparticles were benchmarked against commercially available nanoparticles for their ability to make stable colloidal solutions in NBR Latex. Finally, NBR films were synthesized and tested for detection in electromagnetic scanner.
