Abstract
The work was mainly focused on bioactive compounds and biological screening of Alnus nitida. Phytochemical analysis of plant and various fractions was carried to identify the secondary metabolites, which showed the presence of tannins, carbohydrates, starch, flavonoids, resin, glyctisides, cardiac glycosides, reducing sugars and monosaccharides. Secondary metabolites Possess biological activities, which are responsible for health care, health maintenance and defense action.
