Abstract
The emphasis of the present study is to biosynthesize the silver nanocomposites doped with CuO from the plant extract in a very environment friendly, non toxic, biocompatible and affordable manner .The crystalline structure of the synthesized silver nanocomposites was confirmed by means of the XRD and surface morphology was assessed by means of the SEM. In case of CuO two peaks were generated at 36, 38, 48, 56, 62, and 66 .The most prominent peak is shown at 38 and these show the crystal structure of the copper. The coating of synthesized nanocomposites was done with solution dispersion method. Accurately weighed 0.5 g synthesized nanocomposites were dissolved in 50 mL water and sonocated for 10 min. Then it was kept on magnetic stirrer 30 min. Then silver nitrate solution was prepared by weighing 0.1 g silver nitrate and dissolved in 15 mL of water and sonicated for 15 min. The susceptibility testing of drug were performed by employing the disc diffusion method. The pores of selected fungal strains were obtained from Department of Pharmacy, University of Sindh, Jamshoro, Pakistan and harvested in 0.02% of tween 20 solution and the turbidity was balanced as stated by the McFarland turbidity standard. The prepared inocula were incubated at 37 degrees C for 18 h. Zone of inhibition against Bacillus aureus and E Coli was 31 and 28 mm, respectively. The biosynthesized nanocomposites show strong antibacterial activity.
