Abstract
Questions of the influence of deactivation of catalysts on the mechanism of catalytic reactions are discussed. A general scheme of various types of deactivation is given. The influence of deactivation on the kinetics of the catalytic processes is discussed. Experimental results obtained by the authors in a study of the influence of various types of deactivation on the form and content of kinetic models of certain industrial hydrogenation-dehydrogenation processes are presented.
