Abstract

The CO2-encapsulated clathrate hydrate was formed, under a room temperature and atmosphere, by sulfonate-assisting hydrogen bonds among water molecules, where the geometry of the three sulfonate groups in zinc complex with nitrilotris(2-benzimidazolylmethyl-6-sulfonate) L1, was controlled by coordination of Zn2+.
