Abstract
Solid state supramolecular assembly of a novel C-3-symmetric tripodal luminescent organic molecule has been explored to understand the molecular aggregation and the different possible interactions between host-host and host-guest pairs. Interesting capsule voided confinement of guest molecules and the helical arrangement via non-covalent interactions have been evidenced by single crystal X-ray diffraction and solid state circular dichroism study, respectively. Visual color change and variable temperature powder X-ray diffraction study supported solid state transitions in the supramolecular architecture.
