Abstract
Previously observed positive and negative parity states of Cd-113 have been interpreted using a particle-rotor model. Experimental energies and transition properties have been compared to those predicted by the calculation. The results show that this simple model with very few parameters can explain successfully most of the structure of Cd-113. Even though Cd-113 is only two protons away from the closed Z = 50 shell, there is evidence that it is slightly deformed. One quasi-rotational band based on the 1/2(+) ground state has been identified as well as other rotational features as in our previous work on Cd-111 [7].
