Abstract
The appearances on chest radiographs following kerosene poisoning in 94 children are described. Fifty-eight were abnormal. The radiological patterns were differentiated into six groups, the commonest of which was perihilar infiltration and the least common basal change. The radiological manifestations may be seen as early as 2 h following kerosene poisoning. Ninety-six per cent of the pneumonitis resolved within 14 days.
