Abstract
The multi-soliton collision is an important topic when the distance between solitons is very small. This work studies the dynamics of solitons in an optical system possessing third-order dispersion and nonlinearity. Through the Hirota's bilinear method, exact three-soliton solutions of a third-order nonlinear Schrodinger equation are derived, and then, the interaction properties of those solitons are discussed. The presented results give an effective control scheme of three-solitons by adjusting the fiber parameters, which are significant for improving the transmission quality of optical soliton communication systems.
