Abstract
In this article, we investigated the optical properties and colloidal distribution of the PCPDTBT and VOPcPhO in the organic amalgam thin films prepared by spin-coating technique. A very even dispersion of donor and acceptor domains in the binary blend has been obtained. The thin films were characterized using atomic force microscopy, UV-Vis optical absorption spectra, photo luminescence, and Raman spectral measurements. The combination of these two materials stretched the absorption spectra over the whole visible region (400-800 nm). Optical and structural properties of the proposed combination argue its potential in organic optoelectronics applications.
