We point out an inconsistency regarding the solutions of the spin-one Duffin-Kemmer-Petiau oscillator in two (1 + 2)-dimensions (2D DKPO) under an external magnetic field (MF), reported in the paper by Gomez et al. (2020) H. We show that the ansatz made by the authors for the wave-function would, indeed, imply that the trivial solution is the only one possible. (C) 2022 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
