Abstract
This paper is concerned with the prediction of omni-directional sound intensity in an enclosed area. The main feature of the work is the estimation of sound intensity at a receiving point for a given number of reflections. This is highlighted by the fact that for a hard walled enclosure or one of low absorption coefficient then the effect of reflection is high. In such a case the number of reflections is computed to indicate the additional sound intensity required. Thus the acoustics of the area can be planned to suit a given requirement.
