Abstract
Complex formation equilibria of trimethyltin(IV) with ligands having a variety of model functional groups (carboxylate, phosphate, amine and thiol) have been investigated. Stoichiometries and stability constants for the complexes formed were determined by glass electrode potentiometry. Results show the formation of 1:1 complexes. The following order of coordination potentiality prevails: thiol ≃ amine > phosphate > carboxylate. Penicillamine is expected to be the most effective antidote for (CH
