Abstract
A patient is reported who had Cushing's syndrome and benign bronchial carcinoid tumor. The symptoms of the two conditions started almost simultaneously. Detailed biochemical and radiologic investigations confirmed Cushing's syndrome and negated the possibility of carcinoma and adenoma of the adrenal glands. The likelihood of bilateral adrenal hyperplasia was equivocal. Removal of the bronchial carcinoid tumor alone cured the patient of Cushing's syndrome. The etiopathogenesis of Cushing's syndrome associated with neoplasms of organs other than the adrenal glands is discussed.
