Abstract

Critical care Metastasis Mortality Ostomy Sepsis Ventilators
Multivariable logistic regression analysis was performed to determine predictors of hospital mortality entering clinically significant variables in the model. On multivariable regression analysis, APACHE II score (odds ratio [OR] per unit increment, 1.12; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.08-1.16), need of MV (OR, 1.66; 95% CI, 1.01-2.72), need of RRT (OR, 5.98; 95% CI, 2.54-14.10), and the presence of metastasis (OR, 2.84; 95% CI, 1.72-4.70) were independent predictors of hospital mortality.
