Abstract

The problem of decoupling in the presence of time delays and external noise disturbances is addressed. By constructing a performance measure that incorporates trajectory sensitivity, a controller is formulated which decouples the overall system in spite of the time delay or noise sources. An example is provided to illustrate the approach and to demonstrate the effects of the choice of sensitivity weighting matrix on the state trajectory perturbation.
