Abstract
Geospatial technologies serve as an important factor in promoting the rights of people with disabilities and, accordingly, they are crucial to be employed as a tool that highlights the services and rights of this category. As such, the current study aimed at collecting data about people with disabilities in Riyadh to create a geospatial database and design an online interactive map. In order to achieve this, the study used various software for data collection; and the data was processed via ArcGIS software. Moreover, date the data was collected in field from parking lots of people with disabilities as well as from various sources to understand the services provided to this category such as departments of recreational services, families of people with disabilities, rehabilitation centers and physiotherapy centers. The study resulted in a service geospatial database for people with disabilities in Riyadh and an interactive map showing service spatial distribution for people with disabilities in addition to the tools that help users to easily access information about these services. The study revealed that there are (500) parking lots, (52) day rehabilitation and care centers, (289) educational services for both genders in all grades and with various disabilities, (13) banking services, (29) sports and entertainment services and (15) medical rehabilitation and physiotherapy centers.
