Abstract
In this paper, we propose a repetitive group sampling plan for truncated life test assuming that the lifetime of a product follows a generalized inverted exponential distribution. The median life of the product is considered as quality parameter. We have determined the optimum sample size to assure the true median life is longer than a specified life at a desired levels of producer's and consumer's risks. The efficiency of the proposed plan is investigated through a comparative study with the existing sampling plan. Illustrative example is also provided for the implementation of the proposed plan. Further, the operating characteristic curves are also analyzed.
