Abstract
A differential-pulse polarographic procedure is described for the determination of isoprenaline in low concentration both in pure form and in a pharmaceutical preparation. Ar pH = 0.5 and with 0.1 M potassium nitrate as the base electrolyte, the electrode response is linearly proportional to the concentration of isoprenaline in the range 10(-5)-10(-2) M. The detection limit is 1 x 10(-6) M and the relative standard deviation (n = 10) is 1.2 % at 4 x 10(-4) M isoprenaline, The degree of interference from some excipients. added to the pharmaceutical product, on the differential pulse polarographic signal for isoprenaline was evaluated. No matrix separation is required.
