Abstract
Establishing an infant monitoring system becomes more important in today's competitive environment. Currently, most of the hospitals have great experience with an infant monitoring system, which approves the advantages as a preventative technology for newborn. People, hospitals
and systems have to communicate with each other and they have different explanations of the same concepts or subjects. This paper is designed to develop ontology for the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Infant Protection System that identifies the basic components, define the direct users,
explain the place of use and demonstrate the system workflow. Information about RFID Infant Protection system was collected from General Obstetrics and Gynecology department at King Abdul-Aziz Medical City (KAMC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
