Abstract
Acne is a skin condition that affects young adolescents as well as adults. Although the condition is preventable, this research finds that there is a lot of misinformation around hence making the condition for fully understood across board. The study takes a look at the understanding of the conditional cross different age groups through collection of primary data. results from the data show that there is a variety of information across different sources. In the same line, information sources are mostly on the internet and hence reliable. The findings of the research reveal that information from parents and professionals such as physicians remain credible in handling the condition. in the same line, the research concludes that acne is related to the hydration conditions of the individual respondents as opposed to diet intake and the BMI status. In conclusion, the researcher recommends more studies to understand the mental effect brought about by acne especially to young adults.
