Abstract
In this article, we will mainly focus on finding the Lie symmetries of a couple of models like the famous generalized mixed nonlinear Schrodinger equation and Degasperis Procesi equation. We will also study the self adjointness of these models. In additon to these, we will also investigate the conservation laws with the help of Ibragimov's approach and also by implementing the scaling invariance approach. Next we will work out the soliton solutions of both the models by applying the Sub-Ode approach. These solutions will be presented graphically.
