Two labdane-type diterpenic galactosides characterized as labdan-18-ol-beta-D-galactofuranoside 4 and labdan-3 beta-ol-11,15-olide-18,20-dioic acid-3 beta-D-glactofuranoside 5 have been isolated for the first time from the roots of Calotropis procera (Ait.) R. Br. (Asclepiadaceae) along with n-decanoyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside 1, n-hexacosanoyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside 2 and n-octadecanoyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside 3. The spectral data of 4 and 5 have been given and structures are established.
