Abstract
In the existence of nonionic surfactant polyethylene glycol (PEG200) was prepared a crystalline dopedcopolymer of poly (anthranilic acid-co-o-phenylene diamine) (PAAoPD). It was produced via an oxidative polymerization route in an acidic environment utilizing anhydrous FeCl3 as an initiator. The ratio PAAoPD/FeCl3 is kept at 1:1:2. The characterization of the doped-poly (anthranilic acid-o-phenylene diamine) powder was carried out by some practices comprising UV-Vis, FTIR, XRD, and SEM. A thin film of PAAoPD was rendered using the spin coating technique. The structural features of the fabricated thin film were tested by utilizing X-ray diffraction (XRD). The electrical and optical characteristics of the resulting thin films were established. The optical dispersion of the thin film was stated in terms of the single oscillator Wemple-Didomenico (WD) model. The density functional principle was applied for the optimization of the doped copolymer as an isolated molecule by DMol(3) and Gaussian 09w/DFT calculations. Gaussian software is in strong agreement with the optical properties of the experimental study for synthetic Infra-Red (IR), molecular electrostatic potential (MEP), and ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis).
