Abstract
Large scale organizations invest a lot of money to implement and operate ERP systems. Those investments were made to get various benefits of ERP systems such as enhancing processes and increasing speed and agility of accomplishing tasks. Understand and take in consideration the drivers that impact success of ERP systems implementation will help decision makers within organizations to focus their efforts on the key elements that will help in successfully implement and get the benefits out of their ERP systems. Usually, previous researches about ERP systems do not consider them as information systems that has essential components. Studying the ERP system as an instance of information system with its all essential components alongside its special nature will provide a full picture of every aspect without missing any important information. The main objective of this research is to identify success drivers that impact the success of ERP systems implementation from people, data, processes and technology perspectives. This research studied one of successful ERP systems within government sector of Saudi Arabia which is the Financial and Administrative Resource Information System (FARIS) of ministry of education. This research adopted pragmatic approach which enabled researchers to combine both qualitative and quantitative approaches in order to fulfil research objectives and requirements. The researchers started with observation and literature review followed by getting a good insight into the provided case study and understand the different perspectives about the topic, the researchers started to build the hypotheses list which formed the base for their instruments that help them to test the list through questionnaire and interviews sessions. This research resulted in a list of success drivers that contributed in the success of FARIS implementation from People, Processes, Data and Technology perspectives.
