Abstract
This paper deals with the motion of a charged spherically symmetric thin shell composed of a scalar field. The equations of motion resulting from the matching conditions of the two surrounding spacetimes which are described by the Reissner-Nordstrom metric are derived. Calculations are carried out for the case of a massless scalar field with zero scalar field potential as well as the case of a massive scalar field.
