In the title compound, C16H17N3O center dot H2O, the isonicotinohydrazide molecule adopts an E conformation about the central C = N double bond. The dihedral angle between the pyridine and the benzene rings is 54.56 (15)degrees In the crystal, molecules are connected via N-H center dot center dot center dot O, O-H center dot center dot center dot N and O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.
