Abstract
In this paper, the reliability acceptance sampling plan based on truncated life test is developed assuming that the life time of a product follows the Birnbaum-Saunders (BS) distribution. The termination ratio is found for various values of producer's risk, acceptance number and sample size. The comparison of proposed plan is made with the existing plan. It is found that proposed plan is more economic to decide about the acceptance or rejection of a product. The results are discussed with tables and examples.
