Abstract

Authors characterize a Moroccan clay powder used in the ceramic industry. Electrochemical and rheological properties of this powder in concentrated aqueous suspensions (50 wt%) are studied in order to optimize the stability of these slurries. Polarization resistance (Rp) and viscosity (eta) measurement techniques are used to study these properties. Rp and eta are determined as a function of pH and discussed. 8 refs.
