Abstract
An abstract of a study by Masternak et al analyzing expression of genes related to insulin signaling in growth hormone receptor knockout, Ames dwarf, and caloric restricted mice is presented. Results show that expression of peroxisome proliferators-activated receptor gamma isoform is significantly reduced in growth hormone receptor knockout and Ames Dwarf mice which are insulin sensitive.
