Abstract

Birth weight, Low Coronary heart disease Growth Health aspects Infants Low birth weight Risk factors
The authors investigated an aspect of the risk of coronary heart disease among low birth weight infants, that of growth and weight gain during infancy. They found that, regardless of birth weight, people with low weight gain during infancy have a higher risk of heart disease, and those who have a rapid gain after the first years increase the risk even more.
