Abstract
GA(3) alone or in combination with ethrel and/or kinetin enhanced seed germination of sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum cv. California Wonder); ethrel or kinetin alone had adverse effect. GA(3) promoted alpha-amylase activity which was further enhanced if GA(3) was combined with ethrel and/or kinetin. Reducing sugars content increase as alpha-amylase activity increased.
