Abstract
This paper will present the analysis of static bending of functionally graded porous plates attached to a piezoelectric fiber-reinforced composite layer. The plate is exposed to sinusoidal electrical and mechanical loads. The displacement field is presented by using a sinusoidal shear deformation theory. The virtual work principle will be used for the derivation of the equilibrium equations and Navier’s method for the solution. Displacements and stresses are confirmed by comparing them with corresponding literature. Lastly, numerical results confirm that the porosity factor, applied voltage, volume fraction exponent, Young’s modulus ratio, aspect ratio, and side-to-thickness ratio have a huge influence on the electromechanical bending of functionally graded porous plates.
