Abstract
The effect of the temperature on the photoluminescence intensity of self-assembled InAs quantum dots (QDs) coated with gold nanoparticles was studied in this work. The sample was grown by MBE and optical properties are studied by photoluminescence. The result shows an improvement of photoluminescence intensity for the samples. This improvement of intensity is associated to surface Plasmon (SP) for coupling effects. The SP-QD coupling behavior of InAs QD coated by gold nanoparticles was studied at different temperatures and fixed laser excitation power of 50 mW. The plasmonic enhancement factor increases with increasing temperature showing that the temperature improves the SP-QD coupling efficiency.
