Abstract
In this work, the photocatalytic decolorization and degradation of cationic (Victoria Blye R) and anionic dye (Fast green) has been carried out by two types of iron oxide nanoparticles i.e., Fe2O3 and Fe3O4 nanoparticles. These nanomaterials were synthesized by simple co-precipitation method and characterized by using several techniques which revealed that the synthesized nanoparticles possess well-crystallinity. To examine the detailed photocatalytic properties, various parameters such as pH, catalytic dose and effect of different dye concentration with respect to contact time were investigated. The detailed photocatalytic degradation results revealed that the photodegradation of dyes follow a pseudo first-order kinetic reaction.
