Abstract
With regards to the problem of the insolubility of PVK-PPV copolymer, a new diblock copolymer based on vinylcarbazole monomer VK and an oligomer of PPV (trans-Stilbene) in the hope of obtaining a soluble copolymer with original photophysical properties. For this reason, we have already synthesized a new conjugated copolymer, VK-Stilbene, that has solubility in chlorobenzene. The structural, morphological study and the grafting of Stilbene with carbazole moieties were elucidated by infrared absorption and Raman spectroscopy as well as by a scanning electron microscopy. In addition the optical properties were explored by a stationary and transition photoluminescence. As a result copolymer has original optical properties compared to those of carbazole and Stilbene ones.
